For those of you that believe in the power of numbers and numerology know that there’s a message hidden in every number we encounter.
For me, the number 9 has played a significant role in my reality and is always connected to a new door way opening opening up.
Numerology in ancient China
In Chinese culture, ancient as well as modern, the number nine (九 / pinyin jiǔ) is considered a good and abundant number as it sounds the same as the word “long lasting”, meaning that whatever is to be built on this number is sure to be blessed with good fortune and shall last for an undefinably long period of time.
Every beginning starts with a doorway
This picture is of the doorway to the room that opened up exactly 9 months ago, a room in which a new dream was revealed, a dream that at times would test my strength and willpower like no other dream had done before, a dream which asked me to stay in faith at times of trial and doubt.
The name of that dream became Niva Collective, a creative collective founded by myself and Gokhan Goktepe and a passion for creating visual art & storytelling.
In numerology the number 9 signifies love and faith, and that is exactly what I found behind this doorway, as stepping through this door meant stepping into a new adventure into love with the person who’s shared this dream and journey with me, including all the ups & downs that came with it.
Whatever challenges came our way, the number 9 was the one thing that kept guiding me and assuring me at that we were on the right path.
Another threshold
Today we stand at the threshold of yet another doorway, 9 months later, as we are about to give birth to a new and exciting part of our shared dream; the official launch of the Niva Collective website!
Although the website has been a work in progress for some time now, and has often been put to the side due to our jam packed shooting schedule, it seems divinely perfect timing that the launch is happening in September, the 9th month of this calendar year. I’m sure the universe is having a great laugh every time it sends yet another encrypted message my way!
A final thought
So just remember, if the universe puts a dream into your heart, it has every intention for you to make it happen. It most definitely did for us!
